With 25 years in software and experience developing more than 25 products across multiple industries, Vijay brings both depth and versatility to the team. His career has been defined by building systems that balance innovation with practicality and by leading teams that deliver lasting impact.
Startups have always been an area of interest for Vijay, driven by the energy and creativity that come with solving problems up close. That passion came full circle earlier this year when he reconnected with CEO Shelly Henry, a longtime college friend. Over dinner in March, a conversation about Moores LabAI’s mission to bring efficiency and intelligence to chip design sparked immediate interest. The company’s focus on using AI to solve a tangible, deeply rooted industry problem, rather than deploying it for novelty’s sake, resonated strongly with his view of purposeful innovation.
What ultimately drew him in was the combination of an exciting problem space, a strong founding team, and a clear, validated vision. Moores LabAI’s focus on tackling efficiency in silicon design through AI presented an opportunity to make meaningful progress in a sunrise industry that’s only gaining momentum.
As VP of Engineering, Vijay is now focused on building the foundation for scalable growth, ensuring the team can continue producing high-quality products at a sustainable pace. His leadership centers on creating structure, clarity, and consistency while nurturing the culture that makes innovation possible.
He’s also looking forward to re-engaging with the semiconductor world after his last crossover in college, this time from a software-driven perspective. The intersection of software and hardware at Moores LabAI presents a uniquely rich environment for collaboration, learning, and discovery.

The mix of software and hardware engineers creates dynamic discussions where ideas are explored, questioned, and refined with mutual respect.
